“...I was actually doing fine. Nice little mail-order business. Okay, I got a bit behind on the VAT payments, but I could have handled it. Only then my bloody house goes and burns down. Insurance takes forever to pay, and frankly I was so shook up by the thing, I lost it a bit workwise. Just couldn’t keep on top of things. Started missing payments....”

Why Us

Many companies make you start paying the costs of an IVA even before the arrangement has been agreed.

If the IVA turns out to be unsuccessful, you’ll find it very hard to reclaim your money. Our licensed practitioners have close relationships with most creditors and know from experience what they will and will not accept   So we won’t waste your time putting forward a proposal that has no chance of success. But in any case, we will never charge you any fees upfront – our service is completely free.

IVA CRITERIA

About IVAs

IVA criteria are negotiable

arrow

Car hire purchase payments are usually incorporated into the arrangement when the contract comes to an end. Details depend on the car and your occupation.

arrow

To qualify for an IVA, you must:

declare all debts and all credit detail;

arrow

owe at least four different creditors;

arrow

have debts totalling a minimum of £20,000; surrender the values of any endowment polices;

arrow

To set up your IVA, we will need:

all up to date creditor correspondence and statements;

arrow

your last 3 months bank statements;

arrow

house valuations, mortgage statements and redemption statements;

arrow

your current wage slips, benefit details and details of any other income;

arrow

copies of all rent and hp agreements;

arrow

details of both partners if a joint household, even if it is not a joint IVA.

arrow

detailed background information on your affairs leading up to your present financial situation.

Why use an IVA?
arrow

It is a legally binding agreement allowing you to reduce the amount that you pay back to your creditors.

arrow

The IVA process stops charges being incurred on your debts.

arrow

IVA is a method of enabling the reduction of your monthly repayments; this means you remain in control of more of your disposable income each month.

What is the procedure?
arrow

You complete and submit an online application form.

arrow

Our consultants will contact you to talk you through your application.

arrow

If your financial situation meets the criteria set by the Insolvency Practitioner, you will be accepted onto the IVA programme.

arrow

The Insolvency Practitioner who acts on your behalf will get in touch with all your creditors to advise them that they legally represent you.

arrow

Based on the information that you provide, an IVA proposal will be drafted; this is a written agreement that sets out the actual terms of the IVA.
